This one took a long time but was so rewarding!!!
I love gaming. As for me when other people go walking or read a book to relax, I game. Ever since I was little I loved gaming and I kind of grew up with it. My Sunday afternoons were spent as a kid playing Age of Empires against my father and brother. We were that kind of family that went to the library to 'loans' games, only to copy them at home so we could play them. Plz if somebody is reading this that has ties to the police, we're doing this not anymore.
So since I love gaming and love to watch people game the thought of streaming had come across my mind. But I never started with it since...well... I'm an awkward introvert mess. Just the thought of people watching me while gaming and me sucking at it gave me anxiety. But then I got this bucket list so I had to place this one on it and push myself. My thought was: 'I love gaming and I find joy in it so why not share that and maybe people will enjoy it as well."
So I did it. I created an account on Twitch and learned how to use the streaming programs. It took me a while because it was not as easy as it seemed. I also learned that you need to reach certain goals to become verified on Twitch before you can add fun stuff or make money. I'm not doing it to make money but I just wanted to experience it and adding fun stuff like gadgets just seemed more fun.
Then it was time to figure out what I wanted to stream. I've got a thing for horror (yeah, I'm that weird) so it seemed fun to stream horror games. Since getting scared and panicking brings something to the stream. The first few times streaming were unpleasant. Like you got zero to 2 viewers max and you have to keep talking. It's weird. But after a few streams, I kinda started to get the hang of it. It's still awkward for me though, but I accepted the awkwardness and the awkwardness became me (uh..was already me).
I think I'm at 25 streams now so I'm still starting and also still learning but my goal was to get 50 followers and finally after a lot of time, I got them!! So now I'm verified and finally, I can expand my channel. Am I going to keep doing this? Hell yes! I like it too much now so I hope I can grow more and even try some new things on Twitch like some chatting and talking about true crime since that's another passion of mine.
